Obtained west African Senior Certificate Examination  in  1964 at Katsina Provincial Secondary School Ordinary Diploma (AH&H) in 1967 at Veterinary School Mando Road, Kaduna, Higher Diploma(AH&H) in 1971 at Vertinary School VOM, Plateau State, B.SC (AGRIC)  in 1974, at NMSU U.S.A and also M.SC (ANSC) in JAN.1976 at NMSU-USA Attended various Management courses, Seminars and workshops

Before his appointment at the pro chancellor and Chairman of the governing council of the Federal University Dutse, he was appointed in numerous boards and Councils including being the Managing Director and Chief Executive World Bank Financed Katsina state, Agricultural Rural Development Authority Katsina State, Director FBN Mortgages Limited (First Bank Subsidiary) Lagos, Director APT Pension Fund Managers Limited Lagos, Member Governing Council of Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic Katsina, Member Governing Council for National Center for Women Development (NCWD) Abuja.

In his career as civil servant, he served as Project Manager (Chief Executive) Funtua Agricultural Development Project of Kaduna State, Deputy Project Manager Funtua Agricultural Development Project of Kaduna State, Livestock Adviser Funtua World Bank/ Federal Financed Agricultural Development Project, Senior Planning Officer Ministry of Agriculture Kaduna State

United Bank for Africa Plc General Manager Grade 1 Coordination, and Administration Operations of the Bank branches in the North at Kaduna undergone Special attachment in Branch Banking Commercial Inspection and Monitoring and Control Programmes at kano, UBA, Main Branch and UBA North-West, Regional Office Kano.
