Professor Abdukarim Sabo Mohammed was Born in Gumel Jigawa state, He attended Science Secondary School, Dawakin Kudu Kano State (1981 – 1984). He obtained his Bachelor Degree in Applied Biology from Bayero University, Kano in 1989, Master degree in Food Biotechnology from University of Strathclyde Glasgow, United Kingdom in 1995 and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Enzyme and Food Biotechnology from University Putra Malaysia in 2006. He was a Graduate Assistant at the department of Biological science, Bayero University Kano (1990 – 1992) and a lecturer (1990 to 1997), an Associate Professor at University Putra Malaysia (2006 – 2017) and now a Professor of Enzyme and Food Biotechnology at the department of Microbiology and Biotechnology.

Currently he is the Vice-Chancellor Federal University Dutse, He was also the immediate fast Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic Services Federal University Dutse, and at one time Deputy Director Academic Planning and Quality Assurance (Teaching, Learning and Research)

His academic career spun over 30 years with vast experience in Research and Teaching at the university and has authored over 90 publications in international journals and international conference proceedings with RG score of 31.6 and RG citations of 1700; Scopus H-index of 18 and 1289 citations; Google Scholar H index 28 and 2897 citations. He is a member of the American Oil Chemists’ Society (AOCS), Malaysian Institute of Food Technology (MIFT), International Union of Food Science and Technology (IUFOST), Nigerian Institute of Food Technology, Biotechnology society of Nigeria and former President of the Nigerians in the Diaspora organization Malaysia (NIDOMY)(2008- 2011).

He is a recipient of many international excellence awards in both teaching and research namely:

Prof. Nura Muhammad Sani is a Professor of Medical and Public Health Microbiology, Department of Microbiology and Biotechnology, Federal University Dutse. A registered professional Nurse, Nura hailed from Rimin Gado LGA of kano state. He had his B.Sc. Microbiology from Bayero University Kano, M.Sc and Ph.D Microbiology from the famous Ahmadu Bello University Zaria.

In addition to his several years of clinical experience (1991-1994), Prof. Sani worked as a lecturer at school Nursing Kano (1997-2004), Kano University of Science and Technology Wudil, and later Federal university Dutse, Jigawa State.

Abdussalam Balarabe Suleiman is a Professor of Physics (Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics). He was born on 29th November, 1967 at No 573A Hausawa Gwale Quarters in the ancient city of Kano. He attended Dandago Special Primary School Kano from 1972 to 1979, from 1979 -1981 He proceeded to Ramat Unity College Yola under the National Exchange Programme (NEP), from 1981 – 1984 he attended Science Secondary School Hong. He attended Bayero University, Kano from 1986- 1992 for his undergraduate studies, where he obtained BSc (Physics). In 2005 he obtained MSc (Physics) in Bayero University, Kano. He also obtained PhD (Physics) in 2012 from the famous and premier University Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. His MSc and PhD dissertations were all computationally based, therefore in 2005 he enrolled in Cisco Academy for four (4) Semesters and obtained John Chamber’s award in all the Semesters. In May 2006 he sat for the CCNA Certification examination and scored 950 points out of 1000, hence qualified him to be a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).

In his academic pursuit, he is in the academia for over 20years, he has taught different aspects of physics at all level of undergraduate and postgraduate studies and supervises numerous undergraduate and presently supervising both MSc and PhD students in the department of Physics. His academic experiences includes international exposure as he taught in the Physics department of the University of The Gambia, from 2011- 2013. His research interest includes Computational Electronic Structure Methods and Molecular Dynamics, Electromagnetic force/wave Scattering and Photovoltaics. He also participated in the accreditation exercise of the National University Commission (NUC) since 2017.

He has over 40 scholarly publications in relation to his field of specialization in high impact international and national journals, he also attended over 20 workshops, conferences, seminars and induction courses across the globe, he had presented academic papers during conferences in Europe, America, Asia, South Africa and locally at home. He is an Editor of Wudil Journal of Pure and Applied Sciences (WUJOPAS).

He has been the Head of Department of Physics from Kano University of Science and Technology, Wudil to Federal University Dutse, for 7 years. Before his appointment as Director ICT FUD he was the Deputy Director Operations in the ICT.

He is a member of numerous academic and community bodies such as National Institute of Physics, (NIP), National Association of Mathematical Physics (NAMP), International Research and Development Institute (IRDI), Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), Nigerian Technical Aid Corps (TAC), Hausawa youth development Association and Kadawa Development Association.

Abubakar Mijinyawa was Born in Dutse, Jigawa State, He attended
Government Secondary School, Ajingi, Kano State (1987 – 1992). He obtained National
Certificate of Education (NCE) in Economics/ Social Studies, from Kano State College of
Education in 1997, Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, Higher Professional Diploma in
Computer Studies (HPDCS), Postgraduate Diploma in Public Policy & Administration and
Master in Public Policy & Administration from Bayero University, Kano in 2003, 2006, 2009
and 2012 respectively.
Before his appointment as the Registrar, he served in the following Departments/Units in the
University: Establishment Secretary, (Deputy Registrar, Establishment), Principal Assistant Registrar,
Head, Junior Establishment’; Principal Assistant Registrar/Faculty Officer, Faculty of
Agriculture; Senior Assistant Registrar/Head Housing and Passage Unit; Senior Assistant
Registrar/Student Affairs Division; Senior Assistant Registrar, Academic Planning and Quality
Assurance.
Prior to joining the University, he severed in Hussaini Adamu Federal Polytechnic, Kazaure,
Jigawa State as Assistant Registrar (Establishment), Assistant Registrar/Rector’s Office;
Assistant Registrar, Millennium Development Goals (MDG’s) Desk Officer/Project Manager
and Assistant Registrar, National Health Insurance Schemes (NHIS) Desk Officer. Also, he
served as Assistant Registrar /College Administrative Officer, College of Business and

Mijinyawa has served in various Ministries and Parastatals under Jigawa State Civil Service

Name: Ahmed Mohammed (Ph D)
Title(s)/Position: University Librarian
Ahmed Mohammed is a practitioner and educator, he holds a Bachelor, Masters beand Doctoral degrees (Information Science) from Library School of Bayero University, Kano.  he taught and supervised at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Precisely in  April 2021 he was appointed by the Council of Federal Univetsity Dutse as second substantive University Librarian. Ahmed is a Certified Librarian of Nigeria by the Librarian Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN) and he is a member of professional bodies such as Nigerian Library Association (NLA), National Association of Library Educators (NALISE). Ahmed presented a number of papers at National and International Conferences, Workshops and Seminars. To his credit he published widely in peer review journals and chapters in many books. His Areas of Research Interest include Agricultural Information; Scholarly and Communication Sciences, ICTs, ICTs Applications in Libraries, Information Resources Sharing and Networks and Emerging Technologies.
