Born at Gurjiya of Dawkin kudu LGA, Kano State. He attended Kofar Naisa Primary School from 1977 to 1983 and Rumfa College Kano from 1983 to 1989. A Graduate of Bayero University Kano with B.Sc. Physics and Master Degree in Physics in the year 1997 and 2010 respectively. Obtained his PhD in physics from University Putra Malaysia (UPM).
Started work with Kano State Polytechnic, School of Technology from 2001 to 2012 up to the level of Senior Lecturer (CONPCASS 13). He later joined the Federal University Dutse, Jigawa State as a pioneer staff in Physics department in 2012 and currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department.
He served in various capacities as pioneer Departmental Examination Officer, Admission Officer, Level Coordinator and currently the Head of Physics Department.
He is a member of Professional bodies such as Nigerian Institute of Physics (NIP) and Nigerian Association of Mathematical Physics (NAMP)
