Dr. Ibrahim Abdullahi is a Senior Lecturer in Mathematics Department. He was
\nborn on 1 st April, 1984 at Lwafu village of Mokwa Local Government, Niger State.
\nHe attended Bokani Primary School from 1991 to 1996 and Government
\nSecondary School Bokani from 1997 to 2002 and thereafter proceeded to Niger
\nState College of Education from 2002 to 2005. He attended University of Ilorin
\nfrom 2008 to 2011 for his undergraduate studies and graduated with B.Sc(Ed)
\nMathematics, Second Class honour (Upper Division). He obtained M.Sc.
\nMathematics (Optimization) from the Same University in 2014. He further
\nObtained PhD in Mathematics (optimization) in 2018 from Universiti Teknologi
\nMalaysia (UTM).
\nHe joined the Federal University Dutse, Jigawa State as Assistant Lecturer in
\nMathematics Department in May 2014 and currently a Senior Lecturer in the
\nDepartment.
\nHe is teaching Mathematics at both undergraduate and Postgraduate levels in the
\nDepartment. He supervised many undergraduate students\u2019 projects. He supervised
\nsuccessfully MSc. student on thesis and some ongoing. His research interest
\nincludes Optimization with an emphasis on Conjugate Gradient Methods,
\nTransportation Problems, Assignment problems, Linear regressions, Fluid
\ndynamics, and Modeling.<\/p>\n

He has over twenty (20) scholarly publications in peer-reviewed journals in both
\ninternational and national. He also attended workshops and conferences. He
\npresented academic papers during conferences in Asia and at home. He is a peer
\nReviewer of MATEMATIKA: Malaysian Journal of Industrial and Applied
\nMathematics, Mathematics Association of Nigeria (MAN) journal.
\nHe is a member of the Mathematical Society of Nigeria (NMS), Mathematics
\nAssociation of Nigeria (MAN), Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN).
\nHe served in various capacities such as Deputy Dean of Students Affairs from 2020 to
\ndate, Level Coordinator from 2019 to 2023, and member of many committees both at
\nlevel Department and Faculty levels. Currently, Head of the Mathematics Department.
