Professor Ahmad Mohammed Gumel is an alumnus of the University of Malaya, Malaysia, where he obtained a Master\u2019s degree in Biotechnology and a Ph.D. in Industrial Biotechnology with specialization in Biocatalysis and Bioprocess Technology in 2009 and 2013, respectively. He also served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Malaya in 2014.<\/p>\n

Professor Gumel holds a Professional Master\u2019s Degree in Public Policy and Administration (MPPA), an Advanced Diploma in Education, a Diploma in Data Processing and Information Technology, and a Certificate in Advanced Digital Appreciation Training (ADAPTI).<\/p>\n

He is an award-winning scholar whose Ph.D. thesis was awarded a Distinction by the University of Malaya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

    He has over 45 publications in ISI-indexed journals, book chapters, and conference proceedings, and has authored four books. He has supervised 7 Ph.D. students, 14 M.Sc. students, 4 Postgraduate Diploma students, and 28 undergraduate students.<\/p>\n

    Professor Gumel is a member of the International Institute of Chemical, Biological and Environmental Engineering; the Nigerian Society for Biotechnology; the European Federation of Biotechnology; the Asian Federation of Biotechnology; the Society for Biological Engineering (USA); and the Asia-Pacific Chemical, Biological & Environmental Engineering Society.<\/p>\n

    He serves as a research consultant to AlphaSights, 58 Davies Street, London, W1K 5JF, United Kingdom. He has been a top-notch reviewer and editorial board member for several international peer-reviewed journals and has attracted numerous research grants to the university.<\/p>\n

    Professor Gumel joined the Federal University Dutse in 2015, where he has held several administrative positions, including Level Coordinator, Departmental Postgraduate Coordinator, Head of the Department of Microbiology and Biotechnology, Dean of Students\u2019 Affairs, and currently serves as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Central Administration), among other roles.<\/p>\n

    He is a team player who has demonstrated transformational leadership in every position of responsibility entrusted to him. He has received over 34 awards and recognitions in appreciation of his services to the university community and beyond.<\/p>\n

    Prof. Nura Muhammad Sani<\/strong> is a Professor of Medical and Public Health Microbiology, Department of Microbiology and Biotechnology, Federal University Dutse. A registered professional Nurse, Nura hailed from Rimin Gado LGA of kano state. He had his B.Sc. Microbiology from Bayero University Kano, M.Sc and Ph.D Microbiology from the famous Ahmadu Bello University Zaria.<\/p>\n

    Abubakar Mijinyawa <\/strong>was Born in Dutse, Jigawa State, He attended
    \nGovernment Secondary School, Ajingi, Kano State (1987 \u2013 1992). He obtained National
    \nCertificate of Education (NCE) in Economics\/ Social Studies, from Kano State College of
    \nEducation in 1997, Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Political Science, Higher Professional Diploma in
    \nComputer Studies (HPDCS), Postgraduate Diploma in Public Policy &amp; Administration and
    \nMaster in Public Policy &amp; Administration from Bayero University, Kano in 2003, 2006, 2009
    \nand 2012 respectively.

    Ahmed Mohammed<\/strong> is a practitioner and educator, he holds a Bachelor, Masters beand Doctoral degrees (Information Science) from Library School of Bayero University, Kano.\u00a0 he taught and supervised at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Precisely in\u00a0 April 2021 he was appointed by the Council of Federal Univetsity Dutse as second substantive University Librarian. Ahmed is a Certified Librarian of Nigeria by the Librarian Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN) and he is a member of professional bodies such as Nigerian Library Association (NLA), National Association of Library Educators (NALISE). Ahmed presented a number of papers at National and International Conferences, Workshops and Seminars. To his credit he published widely in peer review journals and chapters in many books. His Areas of Research Interest include Agricultural Information; Scholarly and Communication Sciences, ICTs, ICTs Applications in Libraries, Information Resources Sharing and Networks and Emerging Technologies.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
