DIRECT ENTRY UTME UTME SUBJECTS SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
Two A’ level passes (Graded A-D in GCE A level, NCE, IJMB or OND) at the Advanced level in relevant subjects (Biology, Botany, Chemistry and Physics) with minimum 8 points. English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics in SSCE with minimum credit level in one or two sittings. UTME subject combination are English, Biology, Physics and Chemistry.

Two A’ level passes (Graded A-D in GCE A level, NCE, IJMB or OND) at the Advanced level in relevant subjects (Biology, Botany, Chemistry and Physics) with minimum 8 points. English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics or Geography in SSCE with minimum credit level in one or two sittings. UTME subject combination are English, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

Note: The requirements covers the three respective options identified below:

  1. Botany
  2. Zoology
  3. Biology
DIRECT ENTRY UTME UTME SUBJECTS SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
National Diploma (ND) – Minimum of Lower Credit in programmes relevant to the course/programme of choice which must include Science Laboratory Technology, Marine Biology, Fisheries etc. IJMB Candidates must obtain minimum of eight (8) points with at least a ‘D’ grade in Biology and Chemistry. NCE Candidates must obtain a total of Eight (8) points. Five O’ Level Credit passes in NECO/WAEC/NABTEB in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, English and any other Science subjects such as Physics, Geography, Animal Husbandry etc. UTME combination are English, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics.
DIRECT ENTRY UTME UTME SUBJECTS SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
DE requirements are - OND/IJMB/NCE Certificate in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, and Electrical Electronics Engineering with a) minimum 8 points b) minimum Upper Credit from Instituton recognised by Government and accredited by NBTE. Credit pass in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any two relevant Science subjects from (Biology or Agriculture Science, Chemistry , Geography, Further Mathematics, Technical Drawing, Economics in not more than two sittings in SSCE (WAEC NECO), or two sittings in NABTEB UTME combination – English Language, Mathematics, Physics and one other relevant Science subject from (Biology, Chemistry, Geography, Agriculture Science, Further Mathematics, Technical Drawing and Economics).

DE candidates must possess one of OND, HND, NCE or IJMB with minimum of 8 points. Also, Diploma holders in relevant areas from NBTE accredited Institutions with at least Merit. At least credit passes in five (5) subjects which are English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology in not more than two (2) sittings NB: O’level WAEC and NECO combination in two sittings. NABTEB can only be combined with NABTEB in two sittings. UTME subject combination use of English, Chemistry, ant two of Physics, Biology and Mathematics.
DIRECT ENTRY UTME UTME SUBJECTS SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
DE candidates must have GCE Advanced level, IJMB, NCE-Minimum of Credit Pass or OND Minimum of Lower Credit (i.e total minimum score of 8 points).
NCE and OND courses are those with bias in Applied Sciences.
WAEC or NECO or its equivalent with five credits in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Geography and Biology or Agric. Science, in not more than two (2) sittings. Candidates must also have at least pass in physics. UTME subject combination are English, Chemistry, Biology and either Mathematics, Geography or Physics.

In addition to O’level requirement, Two A level passes in Science subjects including Mathematics. NCE with at least ‘Merit’ in Mathematics and one other Science subject. At least five (5) O’Level credit passes at SSCE (or its equivalent) including English Language, Mathematics and Physics or Chemistry and any other two Science subjects in not more than two sittings. English Language, Mathematics, and any two of Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Biology and Agricultural Science.
DIRECT ENTRY UTME UTME SUBJECTS SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
DE requirements - A level passes (graded A-D) at the Advanced Level in one or more relevant subjects (Biology, Botany, Chemistry, Geography, Mathematics) and Physics.
IJMB, NCE or ND may also be considered.
Credit passes in five subjects including Englsih Language, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, with credit in one other relevant science subject at SSCE or its equivalent. UTME subjects are English Language, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
DIRECT ENTRY UTME UTME SUBJECTS SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
Two A level passes, one in Chemistry, and others including Biology (Botany/Zoology), Physics and Mathematics.
IJMB with minimum of 10 points in Chemistry, Biology, and Physics/Mathematics.
National Diploma with Upper Credit in MLS, SLT, ND, FST, and other related courses.
HND with at least Lower Credit; B.Sc. in related courses with at least Third Class.
Five O’level mandatory credit in English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. UTME subject combination are English, Chemistry, Biology and Physics with the minimum approved score. Biochemistry Transfer Inaddition to the relevant O’ level and A level credits, and UTME subject combination, the candidate should pass the 100 Level courses with CGPA 3.00 (5.00 scale), and be of good character to qualify for transfer.

National Diploma (ND) with minimum of Lower Credit in Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Admin/Management.
IJMB with minimum of 8 points in Social Sciences.
NCE holders in Economics, Accounting and Business Education with minimum of 7 points.
Five O’Level credit passes in English and Mathematics, Economics, and any other two Social Sciences e.g. Commerce, Geography, Government, Accounting, Civic Education UTME Combination are English, Mathematics Economics, and any of these Social Science subjects: Government, Geography, Accounting, Commerce.
DIRECT ENTRY UTME UTME SUBJECTS SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
Direct Entry requirements are NCE with English as main subject with minimum of merit score in each of the three main subjects.
IJMB with minimum of 9 points in Literature in English, one (1) arts related subject, and a social Science related subject.
Diploma (not University Diploma) with English as one of the main subjects at a minimum of credit level.
Five O’Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, and any three (3) of the following: Literature in English, Religious Studies, Nigerian Language, Arabic or French, History, Government or Economics or Civic Education in not more than two sittings of either WAEC-WAEC, WAEC-NECO, and NECO-NECO. UTME combination are Use of English and any two of the following subjects: Literature in English, Nigerian Language, History, Religion, plus one of the following: Economics and Government.
DIRECT ENTRY UTME UTME SUBJECTS SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
Direct Entry requirements are inaddition to the O’Levels, a candidate must have at least two GCE (A level) or HSC/IJMB subjects including Govrnment and any other Social Science subject.
NCE Certificate with Political Science as main subject (merit score and above),
or Polytechnic Diploma (ND) in Public Administration, International Relations or Local Government Administration with minimum of Lower Credit.
Five O’Level credit passes at GCE/SSCE in English Language, Mathematics, Government and any two of the following: Economics, Geography, Commerce, Civic Education, Religious Studies/Languages. UTME subject combination are English, Government, and any two of the following: Economics, Geography, Commerce. Or one (1) from a, b, c above, and another one (1) from either IRS, CRS, Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, Literature in English, History.
DIRECT ENTRY UTME UTME SUBJECTS SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
Direct Entry candidates must possess Two (2) A Level passes in Sociology, Economics and either Geography, Government or Civic Education.
IJMB with nine (9) points in the above subjects.
Diploma at Merit/Lower Credit level in Crime Management, Law, Social Work, Social Policy and Administration, and Community Development.
Five O’Level credit passes at SSCE, NECO or NABTEB ie including English, Mathematics, with any two Social Sciences (Economics, Geography, Government or Civic Education) and any one Art subject (History, Literatrure in English, Islamic Studies, Hausa etc) in not more than two sittings. UTME subject combination are English Language, Economics, Government/Geography, ISS/CRS/Hausa or any other Arts subject.
DIRECT ENTRY UTME UTME SUBJECTS SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
Minimum requirement for Direct Entry admission into 200 Level are 3 A/Level subjects in Biology, Chemistry and Physics obtained ftom IJMB, GCE A Level, HSC examinations or its equivalent. Minimum requirement for admission into 100 Level are passes at credit level in at least five (5) O’Level subjects which must include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics. UTME Subject Combination are Biology, Physics and Chemistry. Three years for students admitted into the second year B.Sc.
Four years for students admitted into the B.Sc. programme through the UME/JAMB examination or the 1 year Remedial Sciences programme.
Pass at the end of 1-year Remedial Sciences course examination, obtaining a very good score in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.
DIRECT ENTRY UTME UTME SUBJECTS SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
Minimum requirement for admission into 200 Level are passes into 3 A/Level subjects in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics that are obtained from IJMB, GCE A level, HSC examinations or equivalent.
At least second class (upper) degree in one of the Health Sciences programmes (e.g. Nursing, Pharmacy etc), Biology, Biochemistry or Microbiology.
Minimum requirement for admission into 100 Level are passes at credit level in at least five (5) O’level subjects which must include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics. Subject Combination are Biology, Physics, Chemistry. Three years for students admitted into the second year B.Sc. Four years for students admitted into the B.Sc. programme through the UME/JAMB examination or the 1 year Remedial Sciences programme.
Pass at the end of 1-year Remedial Sciences course examination, obtaining a very good score in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.
Five years for students directly admitted into the second year MBBS programme.
Six years for students admitted into the MBBS Programme through the UME/JAMB examination or the 1-year Remedial Sciences Programme. Pass at the end of the 1-year Remedial sciences course examination, obtaining a very good score in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.
Instructions during the one-year remedial and the 100 level programmes are determined and examined by the Faculty of Science.
To qualify for entry into the 100 Level Programmes, the student should have passed all the prescribed courses in the Remedial programme at First Attempt.

DIRECT ENTRY UTME UTME SUBJECTS SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
Two ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry and one from Biology/Botany/Zoology/Agric Science, Economics, Physics, Geography and Geology/Mathematics (Pure & Applied).
ND in Crop Production, Agronomy, Agric Extension, Farm Management, with Merit.
NCE with Merit in Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science Double Major.
Soil and Crop Science inaddition considers ND in Agric Engineering with Merit.
Animal Science accepts minimum of two relevant subjects at NCE or with Diploma in related programmes of Animal Science with minimum of Merit.
Five SSCE credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology/Agric Science, and any one of Physics, Geography and Economics.
Animal Science also considers credit pass in Animal Husbandry, but does not consider Economics as a requirement.
English Language, Chemistry, Biology/Agriculture and any one of Physics or Mathematics. Fisheries and Aquaculture accepts one of Physics/Geography Forestry and Wildlife Management accepts Biology/Mathematics

Fisheries and Aquaculture accepts National Diploma in Fisheries/Fisheries Technology, Aquacultre Science/Agricultural Technology
NCE Agriculture/Agricultural Technology with Merit in Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science double major
Two A level/IJMB passes in Chemistry and any one of the following: Biology/Zoology/Agricultural Science, Economics, Geography and Geology
Five SSCE credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology/Agric Science, and any one of Physics, Geography and Economics. English Language, Chemistry, Biology/Agriculture and any one of Physics or Mathematics.
Fisheries and Aquaculture accepts one of Physics/Geography

Forestry and Wildlife Management accepts A level IJMB passes in Chemistry and any one of Biology/Botany/Zoology Agricultiral Science, Economics, Physics, Geography and Geology/Mathematics (pure & applied) National Diploma, NCE with Merit in Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science Double Major/Forestry Five SSCE credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology/Agric Science, and any one of Physics, Geography and Economics. English Language, Chemistry, Biology/Agriculture and any one of Physics or Mathematics.
Forestry and Wildlife Management accepts Biology/Mathematics
